Founding of Bold Steps

Bold Steps was founded in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, in January 2025. After feeling a deep calling to launch this mission, Heather Heacox knew the time had come to turn vision into action—creating a path to support and empower teen moms in foster care. foster care

Completed Our First Crowdfunding Campaign

We successfully completed our first crowdfunding campaign, raising the startup funds needed to file for our 501(c)(3) status and begin making an impact. This milestone marks the first step toward building a strong foundation for Bold Steps and the young mothers we serve.

Website Launched & 501(c)(3) Filing in Progress

In February 2025, we launched the Bold Steps website, taking a major step toward building awareness and connecting with our community. We also began the process of securing 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, submitting the necessary paperwork to our attorney to establish Bold Steps as an official nonprofit.
